Sponsored Youth

Kiwanis International is a "family" of organizations that focuses on teaching young children about the responsibilities of good citizenship, community service and building future leaders.

The Salisbury Kiwanis Club sponsors Terrific Kids & BUG (Bring Up Grades) at local Rowan County elementary schools; and Key Clubs at Carson, East Rowan, North Rowan & Salisbury High Schools. 

 

 

Our sponsored youth groups independently initiate service projects and community service activities throughout the school year. Our club works through a faculty adviser in each youth organization to coordinate our participation with their activities. or to have them work with us on major service programs and fundraisers.

 

Each year, our Kiwanis Club provides a college scholarship for a deserving senior student in each of our high school Key Clubs. 

 

Our club also contributes annually to the Carolinas District and Kiwanis International Children's Funds to assist with regional and global initiatives benefiting children.
